Synopsis: In this third and final installment, Andy is heading off to college. His toys get accidentally dropped in the wrong box and donated to the Sunnyside Daycare center. At first, they’re overjoyed but soon find themselves being mistreated by untamed kids who do not know how to play nice. In addition, they’re deceived by the Sunnyside welcoming committee, headed by “Lotso” Bear. They quickly devise an escape plan to get back to Andy and the safe haven of his house.
Bottom Line: This is a very rare occurrence. We find ourselves presented with a unique situation where the third movie in this sequel is not just better than the first two, but better than both the previous movies combined. It’s amazing to me how Pixar seems to out do themselves year after year. Obviously, this is the best Toy Story movie to date. It’s very hard not to become attached to these characters as they have infiltrated the very fabric of our society. You would have to travel far to find someone that doesn’t know who Buzz Lightyear is. It’s additionally rare for me to cry at an animated movie. I’m not afraid or ashamed to admit that the tears were streaming down my face before this one ended. In my opinion, this is the best Pixar film to date. If you see one movie this year, this is the one to see. You’ll be cheating yourself if you miss the 3D version in theaters. You can bet the Blu-ray version of this one will be on my shelf beside the other two as a reference disc.
