Movie Ratings

Chicky and I are "professional movie goers". We go to the movies more than we do anything else. There's just something about being in a darkened theater, eating a hot dog smothered in yellow mustard and jalapenos, and escaping the stress of every day life while being whisked away by the big screen. Since we go to the movies so much, some of my friends asked me to send them a review on what we've seen. This all started out by me sending the reviews via e-mail. Gradually, I graduated to my own website. I hope you enjoy the reviews. I'm always open to constructive criticism. Shoot me an e-mail and tell me what you think. Here's how my rating system works:

5 Stars - You absolutely MUST see and buy this movie. Why are you still reading this and not rushing out to the theater, Fry's, or Best Buy? Movies receiving the 5 Star rating create the mold in which all other movies should made from. If you buy one DVD a year, this is the one you need to purchase. These movies will be watched over and over.

4 Stars - An excellent movie. Avid DVD buyers will want to add these to their stable as you will probably want to watch it more than once and tell your friends about it.

3 Stars - The typical movie, nothing stunning, nothing abysmal. Although enjoyable, you probably only want to see it once and then get on with your life. If you miss a 3 Star movie, the sun will still come up tomorrow....trust me.

2 Stars - Movies that only fans of the genre will want to see. I wouldn't recommend purchasing the DVD unless you are completely enamored with the subject matter. Save your money unless you are one of these types.

1 Star - RUN! Run as fast as you possibly can to get away from these movies. After watching 1 Star movies, you'll be making statements like, "There's a hour and a half of my life I won't get back".
